India’s Defence Procurement procedure (DPP ) is being revised regularly and yet India as the largest importer of Defence equipment has been in news unfortunately, for wrong reasons . The Augusta Westland episode has once again revived and heightened the debate surrounding indigenization as a mean to combat corruption in defence deals. The amendments to the procurement policy of 2011 would largely attempted by MoD to curb corrupt practices in defence deals .The monograph studies the malaise and offers many workable suggestions.
